A few weeks ago I saw I'm Not There. I give it four out of five stars only because it is hard to follow at times, and background information about Bob Dylan's life is a must in order to understand some scenes. But I do think most Dylan fans would appreciate the movie. So if you are one, rent it, check it out- watch it.
Here are a few screenshots and images that I love.
Inspiration.
I have new projects I want to share. And.. the best Sugar Cookie Recipe. Perfect for Christmas cookies for Santa ;)
Portugal. The Man's new album American Ghetto will be released May 11th (tomorrow)! I'm so excited. I absolutley love this band. It's all I'm going to listen to for the rest of the month. Here's a preview:
I'm going to scavenge the Internet and fashion blogs for the inside scoop where I can buy an affordable pair, meanwhile, I'm also going to try and figure out a way if i can DIY this fabulous find.
Yesterday I found a coffee mug on the ground underneath a tree on my way home from work. It was covered in dirt but the lime green color caught my eye. I picked it up, examined it, checked for cracks. None. Good, it was mine now. I took it home, washed it and this morning I had coffee in it.
Haha, I love it! And that's my almond croissant. YUMMY!
How many times do you catch yourself making conversation with strangers on the street, on the train, in the supermarket, in the waiting room? Why do we do it? Why even bother having small talk with someone you might not see again?
I'm not even sure where I'm going with this. My original idea was to created a blog to keep track of my artsy projects, inspirational ideas, and to document this phase in my life. Now I'm realizing that it is actually the small things in my life that go unoticed. I guess I can admit that those small interactions, quirky comments, overheard conversations make the daily life a bit more interesting. New York City has so much to offer. There are so many things happening all at once it is hard to stop and appreciate the strange and odd things that I normally pass by. The crazy hobos, religious freaks, or drunks passing out just often become part of the enviornment and blend with the background. I loose myself in the hurry of getting from one place to another and forget to observe and listen. No, no, my problem is that I do observe and listen but forget to make note of these things. Hence, the BLOG.
Now let's not forget my second reason. I've been drawing ever since I can remember. Art has always been my favorite class and I grew up with the love of making stuff with my hands. My current biggest hobby is crocheting. I wouldn't be at the stage where I am if it weren't for a few websites on the internet. I've found so many inspiring projects, ideas and tutorials that felt the need to create a blog and SHARE what I've created thanks to these wonderful people. I will link all the websites, blogs, and videos soon.
Thanks for reading! and don't be afraid to comment, lets have small talk about the weather and bad public transportation
